Paintation offers a wide range of artistic filters and effects to turn your ordinary photos into beautiful, painterly masterpieces with ease.
Paintation is an AI photo editor that offers neural style transfer, also known as deep art effects. Unlike other apps that require uploading photos to a server for transformation, Paintation utilizes TensorFlow Lite technology to perform neural network evaluations directly on your device. This allows the app to operate offline and ensures that your photos never leave your device unless you choose to share them.
Paintation features a comprehensive processing pipeline that consists of four stages, providing you with the ability to fine-tune the outcome of your edits:
- PREPARE STAGE: This stage offers a range of basic and advanced photo editing tools to adjust the input before applying styles. You can correct image orientation, perform precise rotations, crop images, change backgrounds with automatic people segmentation, fill in areas with surrounding pixels, use the clone stamp tool for copying elements, apply various adjustments such as brightness, contrast, smoothness, saturation, and hue, and add vignettes.
- STYLIZE STAGE: In this stage, you can choose from 350 style images inspired by famous paintings to apply to your photos. The styles cover a wide range of artistic periods and movements such as Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, Impressionism, Cubism, Surrealism, and more. Each style image includes additional information about the artwork and artist.
- FILTER STAGE: The filter stage offers a variety of color filters including Original Colors, Warm, Cold, Sepia, Black & White, and more. These filters can further enhance the visual appeal of your edited photos.
- ADJUST STAGE: In this final stage, you have access to the previously mentioned tools from the prepare stage to fine-tune the edited result according to your preferences.
Within each stage, you can control the strength of the applied transformations for precise control over the output.
If your editing needs require additional iterations, Paintation allows you to use the current result as the input for the next processing cycle. This option is available in the premium version and can be accessed from the share screen.
When it's time to save or share your work, Paintation offers three export options: a full picture, a collage of the original and transformed photos, or a collage comprising the original, style, and edited images.
